Ravi water flow: India and Pakistan engineers battle

Every year on the banks of the River Ravi becomes a battlefield for the engineers from both India and Pakistan during the rainy season. Engineers in the Indian state of war of wits with their Pakistani counterparts in not only prevent erosion of the land of strategic importance on the banks of the Ravi, but also in Pakistan to neutralize the attack to divert the river to India. 

Sources told TOI on Thursday that Pakistan had built bundhs different along the river in Amritsar, Gurdaspur and sectors to reverse the course of river. They also have constructed structures of Defense, including the fuel tanks by raising bundh high channel Ichhogil. 

Because of the construction of these bundhs, is washed up on a large part of the land and villages of Ranian Kakar away from the Indian side during the rainy season. During this season water releases Pakistan, nearly lakh cusec of villages and of Mandhal Marala and that increases the level of water in Indian villages until cusec lakh 3. This high flow of water submerges and surrounding villages.
